The third edition of the international conference “BULGARIAN NUMISMATIC READINGS” will take place between 25 and 27 June 2026.
The Regional Archaeological Museum in Plovdiv will host the scientific forum.
The conference will be held under the title “Traditions and Innovations in Numismatics” and will focus on numismatics as a source of information about the history of economics, trade, finance, and cultural memory in Southeast Europe from Antiquity to the Ottoman period, combining traditional and innovative approaches to scientific research. The program will include three working days during which Bulgarian and foreign specialists in the fields of numismatics, archaeology, art history, and cultural anthropology will be able to present their new observations.
The official languages of the conference are Bulgarian and English; if the paper is in Bulgarian, it must be accompanied by a presentation in English. When submitting their application, authors should send a summary of approximately 200 words/1500 characters.
The deadline for submitting applications is November 30, 2025.
Presentations should not exceed 15 minutes. Posters should be A1 size (portrait, 594 x 841 mm). Authors are responsible for the copyright of the reproduced images and the printing of the posters.
